I’m the youngest of four (three 1/2 siblings from my mother Delores' first marriage.)
I was raised by my single mother Delores and seven Sicilian aunts.
My mother was the youngest of ten and my grandfather Salvatore Frisella was eldest of six— five brothers and one sister.
I have my maternal grandfather’s name.
I grew up in a very matriarchal Sicilian family that arrived in America from Giardinello, Sicily in the early 1900s.
The entrepreneur gene runs in the family: Frisella's Nursery, Moving and Storage, Metro Lighting, 1st Phorm, Hair Stylist, Doctors, Lawyers, Professional Athletes, Teachers, Poets, and Actors. The list goes on and on.
The smallest litter of children from the five Frisella brothers was eight and largest was fifteen. So, if you are in the greater St. Louis MO. area and you run into a Frisella, odds are they are related to me.
The name “Frisella” is a type of bread.
It is a twice baked bread that dates back 3000 years. It is pulled out of the oven half way through cooking, sliced in half, then put back in until crisp.
On 08MAY1985, I accepted Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. In January of 1986 I was Baptized by the Holy Spirit.
I have always felt an Evangelical call on my life to minister to the lost and spend most of my free time seeking the Lord for ways to communicate His love to the unchurched and Kingdom seekers alike. To the world, I'm an Evangelist, To the Church, I'm a Revivalist.
I had the vision of REDEMPTIONCORPS INTERNATIONAL in my teens but knew it wasn't quite time for it.
I wasn't ready, I lacked root within myself and was too easily distracted by the cares of this world and desires for other things. I thank God I did't run ahead of Him and tried to make it happen on hype. It would have been a catastrophic failure. I'm sure over the years I'll touch on those things.
I'll save my formal theological lessons for www.redemptioncorps.org and the Word Of Faith talks for www.redemptioncorps.com There is a third website for the hurting and unchurched at www.2c5.org strictly for evangelistic outreach in the same spirit of the ministry I came to know Christ.
It will be hard for me not to preach and teach here but I do feel it's important to log this journey in a simple conversational way through writings and podcast talks.
As always peace and love as you workout your own salvation,
