that salvation is by God’s grace and that salvation is free to all by grace through faith: all must accept Christ, the Savior, and those who willfully reject the Spirit of Grace will face eternal separation from God in an actual place of fiery punishment called “hell.” However, when a sinner repents and disowns themselves and receives the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, that sinner also receives eternal life, forgiveness of sins, and deliverance from divine Wrath— healing and restoration spiritually and physically and even financially is provided in salvation. It is also the divine Will of God that the believer conform to the image of His Son in thought, word and deed.
Salvation biblically defined is from the Hebrew word SHALOM, meaning: peace, harmony, wholeness, completeness, prosperity, welfare and tranquility and its Greek equivalent SOZO, translated "saved, healed, delivered." The word is used over 100 times in the New Testament to refer to the "complete package" of salvation, deliverance and healing.
What happened in the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ?
The Death:
From “The whipping post” where He took the stripes that healed us, to the cross where He gave His Blood for our sins, to the grave where He went to hell (the place of total separation from God Whom is Life) — all was done for our sake.
In hell:
Jesus was truly dead — apart from God the Father — the greatest nightmare of them all. Hopelessness, fear, the losing of ones soul and the constant pain of all the world’s regrets — He had none of His own, they were ours.
The Bible makes it clear that if the Devil knew God’s plan he would have not have crucified Jesus — 1 Corinthians 2:8 —... The plan that the Almighty set into motion when He said: “I will put enmity between you and the woman, And between her Seed; He shall bruise your head And you shall bruise His heel.” — Genesis 3:15
Apparently, the Devil and his cohorts had no idea what this was all about.
You see what most people don’t know is The Old Testament saint couldn’t go to heaven — they were in the bosom of Abraham. In a higher level of hell — the place of the dead.
Often we confuse the timeline of the Bible and think that hell is on fire — NOT YET — it is outer darkness — see 2 Peter 2:4 also See REVELATION 20:11–15.
At some point in eternity, death, hell and Lucifer's cohorts will be cast Into the lake of fire.
According to Jesus’ parable of Lazarus the beggar — Luke 16:19–31 – “a great chasm has been set in place” — so that no one can cross over.
1 Peter 3:18–20 Reveals that Jesus while dead preached to “the spirits in prison”
The righteous before Jesus’ Death and Resurrection, couldn’t go to heaven — their righteousness wasn’t enough It was ”as filthy rags” — Isaiah 64:6. Even at their best the good people of old couldn’t make it to heaven.
Only the Blood of the Lamb could break spiritual death over mankind.

In Christianity, salvation is the free gift of eternal life— the God kind of life.
It is tied to the requirement of being born again spiritually not by ritualistic actions to earn worthiness with Almighty God.
To receive Jesus is to be born again. The rebirth of a dead spirit we all were born into because of the Great Fall of mankind. By faith in Jesus we receive the work of the Cross; His death, burial and resurrection and what that afforded for all humans.
We could not do this for ourselves. Only God’s Son can redeem us back to God.
The moment mankind fell from God and died spiritually— that is to be disconnected to the Arthur of Life— God set the plan of REDEMPTION into motion.
Establishing, the Messianic lineage for Christ to be birthed, the Law of Moses, the blood sacrifice, the Mercy Seat and even fulfilling the requirements Himself through Christ Jesus.
God is in Christ Jesus reconciling the world to Himself— NOT COUNTING OUR TRESPASSES AGAINST US.
