Around 500 — 300 BC scribes that were given the responsibility of transmitting the holy scriptures from one parchment to another, began a demonic agenda to not say or write down the name of the Lord God Jehovah.
Now, we have to understand history
The sacking of Jerusalem 586 BCE or 597 BCE
The destruction of the 1st Temple
The Law of Moses
The Babylonian exile
The return from exile in 538 BC
The habitual disobedience of the king and the people of Israel— produced a zeal in what would become Pharisaical Judaism — Hebrew pārūš— meaning separated.
God’s precious chosen people had a different Covenant than we Christians have in Christ Jesus. They understood the curse of the Law. Ha’Satan exploited these zealous people who desired to be right once again with God but “zeal without revelation knowledge” doctrine or philosophy to not let the people use the Lord’s Name in vain.
For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth — Romans 10:2–4 KJV.
However, they understood they violated the Law of Moses — they broke covenant with the God above all gods.
So this zeal that Paul talks about was birthed during this time — about 300 years before Christ unfortunately this was a demonic plan to shut the Name of God up.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved — Romans 10:13 KJV.
“Call upon the name of the Lord and you shall be saved. Ok, what is it?”
“Well, we don’t know anymore because someone had the bright idea to erase it from us.”
The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
The righteous run to it and are safe — Proverbs 18:10 NKJV.
“But you cannot say it, nor even know it.”— hmm — Genius from a diabolical stand point.
“We’ll just write down the consonance of the word YHWH because somebody must have used it in vain and that’s why we are in exile.” Right! Let’s forget the debauchery of the ungodly kings by allowing demon gods into the land of Israel, sacrificing children to them.
FYI: Taking the Lord’s name in vain is actually in the context of taking the Lord’s name as a banner— in vain.
This doesn’t negate disrespecting the Name of Lord God Jehovah — we do not want to blaspheme the holy and blameless Name the El above all elohim. Hallowed be His Name forever. However, the context of commandment is about taking up the Name as a banner in vain.
We get Jehovah by combining the vowels from the Hebrew word אדונאי (transliterated Adonai), which means Lord and then combining it with the consonance of YHWH and we get Jehovah.
How can you call upon the Name of the Lord when you don’t even know it?
Fortunately, we have the Holy and precious Name of Jesus the Name above all names.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved — Acts 4:12 KJV.
He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords and the Father has given all things to Him. His Name is above all names — JESUS!
