PAUL, was born as Saul of Tarsus approximately AD 5 in Tarsus, Cilicia (now, modern-day Turkey). He was born to the Tribe of Benjamin a devout Jewish Pharisee who inherited Roman citizenship, which implies he was born to wealth. If you study Tarsus at that point in history one can understand its prosperity, education and art and culture. At some point Saul changed his name to Paul. One could surmise he did it because so many believers feared him because of his pre-conversion persecution of the Church.
SUCH a great way to begin in my opinion the highest of all revelations in Christianity. It’s not just a nice thing to say; if you know Paul, who was the original word of faith preacher, this is a releasing of Faith to the readers/hearers of this fundamental, foundational revelation of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul is declaring Grace and declaring peace from God— literally from the Secret Place he was dwelling in before he wrote or dictated it. Traditional theologians and early Church history maintain that Paul is the author. But Paul rarely put pen to paper himself; he routinely dictated his letters to a professional scribe— known as an amanuensis. This is consistent with Baruch ben Neriah (Baruch, son of Neriah), was the scribe for Jeremiah. The prophet would be in the Spirit and speak prophetically while the scribe would feverishly write down the utterance.
Paul was in the Spirit that day for sure revealing the greatest revelation of the Church and believers in Christ.

Redemption in Christ
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
ONE MAY NOTICE WHEN I BEGIN ANY TALK OR TEACHING I DECLARE — GLORY BE TO GOD! GOD IS FAITHFUL TO HIS WORD AND WHEN YOU ARE FAITHFUL TO HIS WORD— SUPERNATURAL STUFF TAKES PLACE.
It’s not token— it’s out of godly fear and faith filled codependency. The reason is threefold:
One: I know I am nothing without God.
Two: In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths — Proverbs 3:6. I am very codependent on the Lord’s leadings.
Three: I never want to miss it like Moses did. Numbers 20:12 reads: "Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them".
MOSES! People this is Moses! The Old Testament Prophet. If anyone deserved a break wouldn’t you think Moses deserved one?!?! But God stuck to His integrity and would not compromise this: You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain" —Exodus 20:7 NKJV. — Hallowed be Thy Name! Matthew 6:9 and Luke 11:2. To "hallow" means to treat as holy, sacred, or set apart.
This is so big and so important to understand. I can see why the scribes stopped speaking out the Name of God in the Scriptures — [I disagree with what they did by not transmitting how to pronounce the Holy Name of our God— because it is robbing us from calling upon the Name of the Lord and be saved— Romans 10:13, Joel 2:32— but we do not know how to pronounce the Holy Name of the Lord.
Glory be to God there is another Name that the Devil couldn’t blot out from us— the Name above all names האדון ישוע המשיח ha'adon yeshua hamesich (the Lord Jesus Christ)! HALLELUJAH! With that said, I do understand the logic I just do not agree with taking the freewill choice away from anyone to honor God or dishonor God— we just cannot rob the freewill choice from someone else— it’s immoral, unethical and not the Will of God.]
Even Moses couldn’t get a pass on this issue of not hallowing the Name of The Lord before the people. Mose let the childish complaining and murmuring get the best of him and he stepped over into a massive NO, NO!
Once again this is not a token blessing— Paul is hallowing the Lords Name, the Father and in the second half of verse three he tells us what glorious thing our holy God did for us: who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, Who? God! Has? Yes, HAS, it’s already done! A Word of Faith hallmark statement of faith— HAS! It’s already given! Given what? EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS! He gave us every spiritual blessing. WHEN? At the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of The Lord Jesus Christ. Okay, great where is it? IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES— IN CHRIST. One could say it’s in the spirit realm and more specifically in Christ. What is Christ? Christ is the Greek word for the Hebrew Messiah— which means the Anointed One. Anointed with what? The Holy Spirit.
In essence, when we say the Lord Jesus Christ we are actually talking about two Persons of the Blessed Trinity. TRINITY: one God — of one spiritual substance— in three separate Persons. The Second and Third Person of the Godhead.
Granted, when the Lord Jesus Christ, walked the earth two thousand years ago, He emptied Himself of His Omnipresence (everywhere and every when), Omnipotence (all powerful) and His Omniscients (all knowing). The Lord Jesus Christ had to live like a natural human. He had to be divinely codependent on the Holy Spirit for everything. The Way, The Truth, and The Life trail blazed for us how to walk by faith and not by sight in the Holy Spirit. So, with that said, Christ technically is another Name for the Holy Spirit which we recognize as the Anointing (Holy Spirit) on us or on another.
Every spiritual blessing is in the heavenly places in Christ (Holy Spirit). It’s there and it’s pre given; all we have to do is take it— by FAITH: the assurance, of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Not seen because it’s in the spirit realm. We cannot see it with our natural eyes. But we can perceive the all spiritual blessing given to us by Christ Jesus. It’s what we have. It’s been endowed— given. There is no different than a rich relative setting up a trust for us. It’s there, it’s given— it’s ours. Fully paid for. We just have to go over into the spirit realm and withdraw it out of our account. In actuality the only difference between the believer who enjoys the good life God has given to us in Christ and the unbeliever who will not take the “every spiritual blessing trust fund” given to all by the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of The Lord Jesus Christ. Our faith is the difference.
