SUBJECT: SPEAK TO IT
The power that is given to us through the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of The Lord Jesus Christ brought us back to the Garden. Adam did not tend to the Garden of Eden with a shovel and a hoe. Like God Almighty — he spoke to it.
I’m convinced many who know better have lost much because they failed to do this. They meet the criteria— they love God, many are called according to my purpose — other words they are operating in God’s will for their life. They are not fighting against the air traffic controller Who is moving all of us around according to His Will. They abide in God’s Word and the Word abides —is embedded in them.
However, they are praying for things that God has already provided. Speak to the thing and it will obey you. Speak to your body and it will obey you. Speak to the fever and it will obey you. This is the fight of faith! Speak to it --- call it healed, restored, gone! Command that demon to "GO!" and it has to be done as long as you meet the biblical prerequisites.
Did you forgive all --- Matthew 6:14–15, Mark 11:25, Matthew 18:35? Do you abide in the Word of God? Does the Word of God abide in you --- John 15:7? Then ask whatever ! Command what you know you have biblical rights to. And it shall be done.
WE HAVE BIBLICAL PROMISES:
Praying for things that God has already answered. At this very point we see where the faith of others fail. But as Jesus said to Peter --- "that your faith may not fail" ---Luke 22:32. I want to convey to you how you by your faith can overcome the world as more than a conquerer.
Asking while we should be SPEAKING TO IT --- not speaking to God but to "it"; whatever it is --- a fever, a mountain, a tumor, even a demon.
This is not an act of prayer - there is no requesting God to do anything, because He has already done it in Christ Jesus two thousand years ago.
The verse you are referring to is found in Luke 22:32 , where Jesus tells Simon Peter, "But I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers" . [1]
The Context of the Verse
This conversation takes place during the Last Supper. Jesus knows that Peter is about to face a severe spiritual test and warns him that Satan has "demanded to sift you like wheat". [2, 3, 4]
While Peter famously denied Jesus three times later that same night, Jesus' prayer ensured that Peter's underlying faith would not be permanently destroyed. Jesus also gives Peter a command: "when you have turned back [or repented], strengthen your brothers", which Peter ultimately fulfilled by becoming a foundational leader of the early church. [1, 2, 5]
Key Themes & Lessons
• Intercession: The passage shows that Jesus actively intercedes for His followers during times of spiritual attack or severe testing.
• Grace After Failure: Even though Peter faltered and failed in his loyalty, his ultimate faith was preserved, showing that a momentary failure does not mean a total loss of faith.
• Restoration and Purpose: Jesus’ prayer didn't just prevent failure; it prepared Peter to help and lead others through their own trials. [1, 2, 6, 7, 8]

But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." [1, 4]
* Mark 11:25: "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive your trespasses." [5]
* Matthew 18:35 (The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant): After a servant who was forgiven a massive debt refuses to forgive a tiny debt owed to him, he is punished. Jesus concludes the story by saying, "This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart." [6, 7, 8]
## Theological Explanations
Christian theologians generally explain this strict rule in two ways: [9, 10]
1. A Heart Blockage: Receiving God's massive grace naturally softens a person's heart. If a person harbors permanent, unyielding bitterness and refuses to forgive, it serves as evidence that they have not truly understood or accepted God's forgiveness in the first place. [9, 11, 12]
2. Relational vs. Eternal Forgiveness: Some scholars differentiate between eternal salvation (which is secured by faith in Jesus) and daily fellowship with God. In this view, holding a grudge blocks your current relationship with God, leading to spiritual darkness and divine discipline until you let it go. [7, 13, 14]
